Invited guests - Please join us for this special event - Caravan of Hope II - South Phoenix Edition. On our first Caravan of Hope, we toured other areas of Phoenix and brought Policy Makers, Community Members and Organizational Leaders to see the challenges and successes of our communities. This time we are partnering with Ubunu to focus on the hopes, dreams and challenges of our South Phoenix communities.
We will tour a flourishing community garden space, see developments that are improving life of local residents and visit an active cooling center where individuals can take respite from the summer heat. We will also see areas that continue to challenge the health and well-being of residents and talk about issues that need to be addressed now and in the future.
Participants can view an art show sponsored by Ubuntu - I Am Because We Are - Taste of Freedom
There will be breakfast and a garden tour starting promptly at 9 am at Spaces of Opportunity. After that, we will board a bus to take in the rest of the tour, which includes lunch.
